    We are advertising for Self-Employed Independent Contractor opportunities across Perth County, including Stratford, St. Marys, Listowel, Milverton, and surrounding areas. Self-Employed Independent Contractors are screened and matched to individuals and families seeking one-to-one support for a child or adult with a physical and/or developmental disability. Self-Employed Independent Contractors may provide community-based support, in home support/respite, and/or overnight respite.     Details:
    - Contracts vary based on the unique needs of the individual supported, with opportunities available to support children and/or adults receiving individualized funding for respite support.
    - Self-Employed Independent Contractors work closely with the person supported and their family/caregiver(s) to learn about unique, individualized support needs and person-centred goals.
    - Family Services Perth-Huron Coordinators provide support to families and Self-Employed Independent Contractors by offering resources, coordination of funding, and problem-solving.
    - Hours are flexible and worked out between the person supported and/or caregiver(s) and the Self-Employed Independent Contractor.
    - Daytime, evening and weekend opportunities available.

    Qualifications:
    - Related employment, life, or volunteer experience - Experience working with children and/or adults with disabilities, or a willingness to learn and gain experience - Comfortable operating as a Self-Employed Independent

    Contractor Requirements:
    - Police Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Check)
    - Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle considered an asset

    Familyhome Providers are people who have a genuine desire to help others. Families providing support come in all different shapes and sizes! They can be single people, couples, families with children all with a variety of lifestyles. They are committed to building a long-term relationship and stable home environment for a Homesharer. Families receive remuneration, regular respite, training and support.

    The Familyhome Program is seeking applications for a HOMEPROVIDER to open their home and provide support to an individual with a developmental disability in

    Hanover and surrounding area.

    Home needed for a gentleman with a visual impairment who enjoys bowling, swimming, music, and the outdoors. He enjoys living in a family setting and being involved with his community.

    Financial Remuneration provided.

  • Volunteer with Family Services

    Family Services Perth-Huron is a non-profit multi-service community agency providing a range of services which include professional counselling and family supports services for children and adults with special needs.

    We are currently accepting applications for our Board of Directors. If you are interested, please fill out the form and an Agency package will be sent back to you with more information about joining the FSPH Board of Directors, outlining the work of the Agency and the Board commitment and requirements.
