In a small groups, women discuss issues such as addiction, abuse, handling finances, relationships and parenting. They gain self-awareness and an understanding of how to create change in their lives, to take care of themselves and to better handle negative emotions.

Violence Against Women Coordination Committee (VAW)

The Perth County Stop Violence Against Women Coordinating Committee (VAW) is sponsored by Family Services Perth Huron. Fifteen agencies and services co-ordinate their efforts to end violence, to help the community understand domestic violence and to inform them of the crucial supports available.

Violence Against Women (VAW) Program

The VAW program provides individual counselling, safety planning, advocacy, information and referrals for women (16+) who are dealing with issues associated with past or current abuse.  It also assists their children who have experienced domestic violence, sexual harassment and/or abuse (physical, sexual, verbal, emotional or financial).
